The Many ways to make money online for newbie

I had been browsing the internet for some months now, trying to find out what sort of online money-making ways i can have. I was able to do some pay-per-click, been there for some months. But soon i'll discover somehow that the PTC site is a scam. I also tried article writing, review making, survey taking, and afilliate programs. All of these types of businesses I've tried, only to find out that it would be a failure later on.

I have started to think of some ways on how to succeed, especially like me, as a newbie on this kind of job. Some characters of an online worker, and how to become a professional on this field, where every now and then, failure is always at risk. For all the newbies like me, here are some of the best thing to do before you engage your self to some sort of addicting money-making online:

  1. Decide on what online jobs or work at home jobs you want to venture in. Many o the newbies will eventually fall for scammers. They would register themselves immediately to these websites that promises thousands of dollars in some days. Think of it this way, If you are the site owner or developer, would you give out money just like that? I don't think so, unless you are thinking of something in return, that is to cheat, right?
  2. Search the website on the internet: One of the basic rule for a newbie is to always check the site on the web before you ever join or register. Check if that website is listed on the Scam sites on the net. Read about the site's ranking, testimonials, blogs, or any thread in a forum. Beware of scam sites especially the ones asking for upfont payments and may need your confidential information such as credit cards.
  3. Register first as a free member or get a free account before upgrading to a standard member: Many online job sites has a free account where you can get access on their homepage instantly after signing up. Remember to always sign up as a free member first before you give out upfront fees. Later on, after you yourself has evaluated their site and you received your first and second payments from them after trying them out for some days or months, that's the only time that you can decide on upgrading your membership if you are 100% sure that you will get back what you will invest on them.
  4. Get one username and password only policy: This is my main rule, for myself. I don't know if you will take this as an advice. But as for me, i signed up to most of my sites for money-making with one username and password, so to avoid confusions and forgetting them immediately. So when i opened each websites, i can immediaely log in to my account without checking my email first looking out for my usernames and passwords. exception to the rule are the sites which gives out their own log in account information.
  5. Be patient, take time and enjoy working while you are earning. It took me several months before I finally received my first payment from an affiliate program that i signed up. At a veryl small amount, i took pride on it as it was a product from my labor. Do not be excited to get paid instantly from what you are doing. Learn first to love what you are doing everyday. In return, you will never notice that the first payment has already been paid out on your account, or you already have a check waiting on your mailbox. Do not be on a rush. Do everything you have to do to start earning on these sites where you signed up. Learn all the ways from a newbie to becoming a professional over the course of time. Later on you will discover that you have a lot of potentials on succeeding in this kind of job.

Hi yvonne16 I think this is an excellent hub and on a subject many here want to learn more about, and an 80 score for a first hub in only eight days is excellent. (You did ask me to comment on that.)

There are those who come to hubpages to try and make money, and there are those who come for the platform to write. Apparently, you are one of the former and will use all the necessary jargon, back-links, "funnels" and all the other stuff I've seen bandied about here.

I hope you also write some hubs simply for the love of writing and sharing ideas beyond money making, so we can all get to know you better.

Cheers, Lynda

Hi, i'm also a Filipino & i've been in PTC before, i can tell the site is legit if it has a working forum, the admin is active in the forum, so many payment proofs (updated of course), offering not higher than $0.02/click, and... with DDOS protection. :)

Your advice on using one username and password for all sites is a good idea but can also backfire. If you want to do this, than try using a 'difficult' password with combination of alphabet, numbers and symbols. It will help.

@greatstuff thanks for your advice...yeah what i do is really use a very strong password, yep a combination of alpha, numeric and synbols...I normally ask people to use 1 password especially for those forgetful people like me. This one works for me though..but you have to change password as well for your accounts at least once a month, some even advice once a week but that won't really work for me...

Great hub. One suggestion about the same username and password...I totally understand the value of saving time but do change your passwords regularly. Hackers are out there and if they mess with your accounts it is time consuming and stressful.

@Sinea PIes: i totally agree, cause my FB account before was hacked and posted really funny wall updates. So from then on, I now value changing my passwords regularly on all my important accounts...thanks for your suggestion and hub comment, I appreciate it so much...
